You have to figure that there's the occasional person who religion makes better, right?
One would hope. At least occasionally.
Even when I considered myself a Republican, long ago, I couldn't understand why "Christians" embraced so many things that were clearly not Christian. I eventually realized that susceptibility to religion also made them susceptible to other tribal behavior, like believing the hate constantly spewed by Republicans. About the same time I dropped religion, I also dropped being a Republican.
