Sorry for the lack of posts.
I had a dreaded computer crash while installing new RAM and it took me some time to resolve. I ended up trying different configurations of the RAM sticks (not the problem), replacing the power supply (not it), and finally removing components one by one. Turns out the video card was halting the boot up process. We had a nearby lightning strike not too long ago, and I have reason to think that was the culprit.
Now I'm back up and hopefully can get some posts out.
