I'm sorry but this comes off as very douchy. I hate liberals because they lose and whine too much. I also hate conservatives for the same reasons except they're worse. It's like choosing between a giant douche and a shit sandwich.

The desire to be polite and mature, also known as the reluctance to be douchey, is the reason we're in this mess. Conservatives are constantly douchey and get away with literal murder because liberals don't speak up. Enough is enough.

Douchey or not, it's true. Conservative policies have NEVER been the right answer. However, fickle you find Democrats, they always try to be the adults in the room and promote policies that help the American people. Conservatives NEVER do that.

This isn't a choice between a giant douche and a shit sandwich, it's a choice between a dictatorship that will crush all rights in service of the fuhrer, and a government that may not always do what you want, but works to help the American people. This isn't a difficult choice.

@Ipecac-I'm sorry but I have to disagree having experienced voting both in 2000 and 2016 with terrible results that has made me realize what a joke democracy is. I usually tend to a liberal point of view but I've found myself becoming more disenchanted with liberals in general as they also act like kids. I'm in my 40s and I will never vote again.

I'm sorry to hear that. Voting is your fundamental right and to give it up because things don't always go the way you want is cutting off your own nose to spite your face. Yes, 2000 and 2016 were tragedies, absolutely terrible, our country is broken. But the only way things get better is through voting. Disengagement might make you feel good, but it throws millions of people who will suffer under a Republican dictatorship under the bus.

And you're wrong about the "act like kids" part. Real progress was made when Democrats controlled both Houses after the 2020 election. They passed into law The Inflation Reduction Act, The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the PACT Act, The CHIPs and Science Act,
The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, The American Rescue Plan, and The Respect for Marriage Act. There are some real progressive victories in those laws.

I guess the good news is that if Trump wins this year, you'll never have to vote again. But you can feel satisfied that at least you didn't try.
