Personally, I don't think I'd feel inclined to put my hand over my heart in our current situation, but I'm not the President. Can you imagine if Biden or Obama had done the same thing? Of course you can, they'd get excoriated by Right Wing Nut Jobs. But Trump gets a pass, as usual.

I am not surprised that he got booed although I am surprised no one threw anything at him although I would not be surprised if someone actually took a fucking shit and threw the turd at him. He is HATED in NYC. If only we can get rid of that awful building he has.
Speaking of buildings with his name on it, there is a grassroots petition around Chicago to rename a part of Wabash Avenue "Barack Hussein Obama Avenue." It happens to be the part of the street with the Orange Menace's building on it, so it could potentially change his address.
I love everything about that.
