What's this weird emotion I'm feeling? Can it be a tiny bit of respect?

Stop the Presses! Unlike his Vice President, George Bush gets it!
Former President George W. Bush said he won't criticize President Obama because Obama "deserves my silence," and said he plans to write a book about the 12 toughest decisions he made in office.

Bush declined to critique the Obama administration Tuesday in his first speech since leaving office. Former Vice President Dick Cheney has said that Obama's decisions are threatening America's safety.

"I'm not going to spend my time criticizing him. There are plenty of critics in the arena," Bush said. "He deserves my silence."

Damn straight! Best thing he's said in years.

Indeed. Unlike Carter, and Clinton.

Awesome. I imagine now you'll provide us with some actual quotes from Carter and Clinton?

See, I wasn't being partisan. I was just talking about a tradition from one President to another. Your comment was strictly partisan, as if I'd have something invested in defending Carter or Clinton. Of course, I don't.

You might not want to dive into the gutter, but I will. I'll be the bad guy.

Carter and Clinton should be defended, because they weren't effing dangerous idiots. Cussing deleted out of respect for your blog.

Joe, I just don't see how you can continue to defend the worst president this country has ever seen. He was a moron who based all his decisions on gut feeling and prayer; decisions that harmed every aspect of life in this country in some way. He should be indicted. I imagine the book he's got coming out will either be completely ghost-written, or just full of pictures of trains.

It will take decades to recover from the harm he and his "team" inflicted on us. The fact that, in this instance, he's choosing to keep his mouth shut is what he should have done a LONG time ago.

I respect the office of the President. Too bad he didn't.
