Expenses

The past couple months have been brutal.

Our air conditioning went out during the hottest weekend in the hottest July ever. (Took almost a week to get it fixed). That was not fun.

Our dishwasher and microwave both failed.

Ben needed a new car before he goes back to school.

Happily, the appliances have been ordered and will be installed on Friday. And Ben and Carol found a nice used car for Ben, which is now sitting in our driveway.

Fortunately, we can afford these things. For most people in the U.S., these would require hard choices. And for most people in the world, almost all of these are unimaginable luxuries.
