Let's Count the Wins!

Trump has been in office for five months. And, boy, as he's often promised, the winning never stops. Let's count!

(Note that the list below is just off the top of my head.)

• He's gutted many programs that helped people with food and healthcare issues, not just Americans but people around the world.
• He's killed our reputation on the world stage.
• He's gutted a whole bunch of federal agencies, fired a bunch of federal workers with no cause, and has the rest of us horrified and afraid for the programs we run.
• He's sat by while Israel continues its genocide against the Palestinian people.
• He's ignored court orders against him.
• He's terrified and abused immigrant communities.
• He threw himself a fascist-style military parade costing tens of millions of dollars.
• He's violated civil rights and due process while breaking up families by sending innocent people to harsh detention centers and prisons.
• He's attacked the American education system at all levels.
• He's devastated American science.
• He's appointed a bunch of stupid grifters with no expertise in the policies their agencies oversee.
• He's caused the deaths of thousands worldwide.
• He's devastated American medicine.
• He's violated posse comitatus by invading a sovereign American city and state.
• He's openly been the most corrupt public official in American history.
• He's continued to support Putin, while attacking our allies and abandoning Ukraine.
• He has lied, lied, and lied, every single day.
• He sent the American economy into a tailspin with ridiculous tariffs and terrible economic policy.
• He's made millions off manipulating the stock market.
• He has violated the civil rights of everyone who isn't a white, Christian, male.
• He's allowed far right fascists (Stephen Miller, Project 2025) to dictate his every action.
• He is clearly hiding significant health issues, including advanced dementia.
• And just this weekend, he embroiled the United States in a war with Iran, just because Netanyahu asked him.

But at least he built two new flagpoles on the White House lawn.
